Leaving Tokyo
Well part 1 of this Japan adventure is drawing to a close. I'm just sitting here waiting for the lady to show up and check out out then I'm off to Tokyo Station to catch the shinkansen to Osaka. Ahh Osaka it's been so long. But I never imagined that 2 weeks could pass so fast, seemed like 2 days. Things I'm going to miss about tokyo, HEY in Akihabara, probably the most kick ass arcade I've ever been to. An entire floor devoted to shooters, godlike. Akihabara, well thats just going to get replaced with Den Den, so it's all good. Shibuya/Shinjuku, they are great places to walk around and explore when you're bored even stuff to find at night so it's cool. |

Lessons learned at Comiket 66
I learned a few lessons from Comiket 66, I'll have to take these into account for the next time I goto a Comiket... 1. Don't get to the event an hour early on a hot day because you will wait outside for 90 minutes in the sun and think you are going to die from heatstroke. 2. Don't get to the event 45 minutes after it starts on a rainy day because you will wait outside in the rain for 30 minutes 3. Don't forget to bring an umbrella on said rainy day. 4. Don't wait in the long ass line next to the Shanghai Alice booth thinking you'll be able to get their games when you're done with the line you're in. |

The low carb rant
WTF I think this whole lob carb crazy has finally gone too far. Coke C2, Coke with 1/2 the carbs. WTF if you don’t want the fucking calories drink a fucking diet soda. Don’t like the taste of diet soda drink some fucking water it’s better for you anyway. Low carb Special K, WTF its cereal is mostly carbs. And finally the thing that made me snap, low carb milk. I mean seriously WTF? Milk isn’t even a significant source of carbs in the first place and the fuckers are advertising it as it as Adkins approved milk with 1/2 the carbs. Wow I fucking hate my job, I'm so glad that I'm going to be done with it soon. All the GM seems to care about it making himself look good to everyone. He tries to make it seem like he's a nice guy, but there is something else going on too, I can feel it. |

I really need to study more Japanese, I mean I really haven't studied at all for 10 months or so now and I'm only 2 months from going back to Japan. Yeah I can still understand a fair amount, but I really should and need to be able to understand a hell of a lot more. |

Fun and profit through procrastination, and the passing of a legacy
I only ever seem to update this damn thing when I'm trying or maybe rather not trying to write some essay or study for some big exam that is about 5 seconds away from kicking my ass. Well it is now 100% that I will be going back to Japan for school in August, where I'm not sure yet. I'm still holding out some hope for Kansai Gaidai again, but it looks like its going back to JCMU and a whole bunch of rice fields. Joy, well true it is Japan so there is nothing to complain about there, but as with anything it could always be better. Then after I'm done with school maybe, hopefully I'll be able to get a job. So anyways I got home from work and saw a mailer from DL and open it just for shits and giggles, WTF new owners? Granted I can't really think of anyone I'd rather have as new owners than Scott and Jay, but it still feels strange having a place I literally spent all my free time for a few years coming under new ownership.
